The National Business Observatory
The GIZ project established a National Business Observatory in Tunisia to provide economic data and dashboards.
As part of the Tunisian-German international cooperation, the GIZ Office in Tunis, through its Digital Transformation Program, supported the digital transformation of the National Business Registry (RNE) and its affiliated structures.
This project aims to create a National Business Observatory providing detailed, up-to-date data on companies in Tunisia.
Its objectives include developing dashboards with essential indicators to assess the economic situation of businesses, publishing national and international studies, and creating a secure public and private space for accessing sensitive business data.
Primary data sources include databases from the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), CNSS, RNE (legal data only), and the Ministry of Industry (Modernization Office and Business Center databases).
